How It Happened

SF State found itself in an early hole after the Warriors scored in the fourth and 12th minutes. The Gators got a goal back in the 16th minute when Julio Gonzales Ponce connected with Emerson Trujillo netted his team-leading fifth goal of the year.

In the 25th minute, Pedro Zorraquin drew a foul in the box that set up a penalty kick for Angel Herrera, who converted for his second goal of the season.

However, the Warriors responded with back-to-back goals in the 35th and 37th minutes that shifted the momentum for good. Alecxander Cuellar scored unassisted and Adam Mockridge scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-2 at the break. Tyler Tipton scored his league-leading 14th goal of the season in the 76th minute to put things out of reach.
