SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State volleyball team received votes in the latest AVCA/Taraflex Top 25 poll, announced on October 30. It is the first time in the Matt Hoffman era that SF State has received votes. The Gators picked up seven votes after defeating then-ranked No. 23 Cal State LA and Cal State Dominguez Hills last week.

The Gators are 14-8 overall and 10-4 in conference with a 3-4 record against ranked teams. The CCAA is well represented in the rankings with Cal State San Bernardino (No. 8), Cal Poly Pomona (No. 22) and Cal State LA (RV) also recognized.

SF State has two more weeks of the regular season and plays its final road matches this week. The Gators first take on Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, November 3 at 5 p.m. The Gators can clinch a spot in the CCAA Tournament with a win over Cal State Monterey Bay and a loss by Cal State East Bay.
