VB | Four Gators Named to CSC Academic All-District®

| By:
SAN FRANCISCO - Four student-athletes from the San Francisco State volleyball team have been named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Kimberly DeBoer was named AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and AVCA All-West Region for the first time in her career this past season. The two-time CCAA Setter of the Year and CCAA First Team Honoree had 1077 assists on the season and averaged 10.88 per set, good for 16th in the NCAA. The 1077 assists ranks eighth in a single season and her 2680 career assists ranks fourth in program history. The junior from Murietta was named the Conference Setter of the Week three times this season. After a strong performance against Cal State San Marcos in the CCAA Tournament, DeBoer garnished All-Tournament Honors.

Trinity Yates had a breakout season in her final season as a Gator and was one of three players to play in every set. She was named to the CCAA Second Team and broke the single season hitting percentage with a .424 clip. Yates was named CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 23-29 after leading the Gators to an upset win over Cal State LA.

Like Yates, Brianna DeBoer saw action in every set this season. This past season, DeBoer moved up the record board with 96 career aces (10th all-time) and 1103 career digs (sixth all-time).

Rebecca Rendahl played in 27 matches with 23 starts and was tied for the team lead with 58 blocks.

To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at their position. No student-athlete is eligible until she has completed one full calendar year at her current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Select Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division II Academic All-America® program.
