Game One
After
Gavin Haimovitz drew a walk, a double from
Derek Laferierre plated Haimovitz in the bottom of the second for the Gators' first run. Laferierre made his way around the bases to score the Gators second run of the inning.
A two-run blast over left field from
Michael Cunningham stretched the lead to 4-0 the following inning.
Upstill sliced a single up the right field line to extend the lead to 5-0 in the fourth. A sac fly from Haimovitz gave the Gators another insurance run in the fifth and a ground out from
Justin Clark allowed another runner to scratch home plate in the sixth to extend the lead to 7-0.
Three solo home runs from the Toros cut into the Gators' lead late in the game, but that was all the damage the Toros could do.
- Brody Eglite made his first start at home after earning his first start on the road a weekend ago. He put up another impressive start, throwing six strikeouts while keeping the Toros off the board to improve his record to 2-0. He gave up seven hits and two walks through his 5.2 innings of work.

Cole Thompson hit a leadoff triple and gave the Gators the lead back, scoring off a wild pitch.
In the top of the seventh,
Mario Vargas allowed a one-out single but the defense held to strand the runner.
