How It Happened

The Otters put up back-to-back three spots to open the game and take a 6-0 lead after two innings. An RBI double put them up 7-0 in the fourth. The Gators meanwhile had bases loaded in the top of the second and fourth but were unable to capitalize.

SF State finally got something going in the top of the fifth when Clark hit an RBI double to plate the first run of the game for the Gators. Clark made his way to third and Derek Laferierre drove him in with an RBI single.

After the Otters tapped on another run in the sixth, the Gators put up three runs in the seventh. Nick Upstill singled to right field to bring home AJ Schrader and Laferierre and an error allowed Michael Cunningham to plate a third run and cut the lead to 8-5.

Down 9-5 in the top of the nine, the Gators loaded the bases with two outs. Clark hit an RBI single down the right side to bring one runner in. Kody Gardner came in to pinch hit but weather made it difficult for Gardner to hit the ball out the yard as it was caught for the final out.

How It Happened

The Otters got on the board early with a two-run home run in the first inning. With bases loaded in the top of the second, Gonzales arrived to first off of the field's choice and drove a run in for SF State. The Otters responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning to reclaim the lead.

With runners on second and third and two outs, Santos battled the full count and hit a double to cut the deficit to 4-3 in the top of the fourth. Matt Sugden tied the game in the top of the fifth when he sliced the ball down the left field line for an RBI single. Back-to-back errors by the Gators led to a pair of Otters to reach base with one making it home to reclaim the lead. Clark's fourth hit of the game allowed Gonzales to score in the top of the sixth and tie things up against at 5-5.

In the top of the seventh with a runner on second, Caleb Chance bunted the ball into play and a poor throw allowed him to not only arrive safely, but bring in the runner at second for the lead.

In the bottom of the inning, A wild pitch scored the tying run for the Otters and a fielding error brought across the winning run for the Otters.
