How It Happened

Gonzales hit a leadoff double in the first at bat and Nick Upstill hit an RBI single to bring him home. Cunningham took the first base he saw in the bottom of the second inning and launched it over the left field fence. AJ Schrader kicked off a three-run fifth inning, advancing to third on a fielder's choice and scoring thanks to a throwing error by the shortstop. Clark cleared the bases with a two-run RBI double to increase the lead to 5-0 for the Gators. In the bottom of the sixth, Gavin Haimovitz brought a pair of runners home with a double down the left field line and was advanced to third then home with back-to-back bunts.
