LOS ANGELES - The San Francisco State baseball team clinched the series with Cal State Los Angeles with a 14-3 victory Sunday afternoon. The Gators had a season high 18 hits against the Golden Eagles and limited them to five hits while tossing eight strikeouts.

- The Gators improve to 16-11 and 9-10 in the CCAA. The Golden Eagles fall to 11-15 and 6-11 in conference. SF State won its first conference series of the season.
- In addition to the season high in hits, the Gators drew a season high nine walks. They also matched their season high in triples with three.
- AJ Schrader hit his third home run of the series and seventh of the season. This is the second series this year he'd had three homers.
- Nick Upstill added to his CCAA lead in triples with his fifth of the season. He now has eight in his career, good for fourth all-time.

Michael Cunningham got the first runner on the board in the first.
Kody Gardner hit an RBI triple to plate another and ran home thanks to an error by the first basemen. The Golden Eagles scored a run in the first and third inning but a solo home run by Schrader put the Gators up 4-2 in the top of the fourth.
The Gators took command of the game in the fifth inning, hitting four RBI singles in a row before loading up the bases and forcing a pitching change.
Sammy Gonzales capped off the inning with the fifth RBI single of the inning to give the Gators a 9-2 lead.
Justin Clark hit an RBI to right center in the sixth and
Gavin Haimovitz cleared the bases with a triple, adding two more runs for the Gators. Upstill's triple in the seventh allowed
Daniel Santos to score and Upstill found his way home thanks to a throwing error by the pitcher. Leading 14-2 in the bottom of the ninth, the Gators allowed one run but
Mario Vargas came in to pitch and ended any rally for the Golden Eagles.

- Tyler Franks started the game, giving the Gators 2.0 innings of work. He gave up one run, one hit and a walk while tossing a strikeout.
- Jordyn Eglite (3-2) pitched six innings and tossed a season high seven strikeouts while giving up three hits and one unearned run. He now has 170 career strikeouts, putting him in sole possession of second all-time of the strikeout list.
- Jacob Crain and Mario Vargas pitched in relief for the Gators.
- Eric Navarrete drew the loss for the Golden Eagles.
