SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State baseball team picked up their second conference series win after capping off the weekend with a 7-2 victory over Cal State San Marcos on Saturday, April 8 at Maloney Field. The bend don't break defense stranded 10 runners for the Cougars while the Gators offense did enough damage in the second through fourth innings to claim victory.

- The Gators improve to 19-12 and 12-11 in the CCAA. The Cougars fall to 11-17 and 5-13 in the CCAA.
- Justin Clark went 2-for-3 and hit his first home run of the season.
- Daniel Santos went 2-for-4 with a game high three RBIs and a double
- Kody Gardner and Sammy Gonzales also hit doubles.
- SF State did not allow an extra base hit against the Cougars.

Gonzales drew an RBI walk to plate the first run for the Gators in the bottom of the second. Santos hit a two-run RBI single in the next at bat and
Nick Upstill hit an RBI groundout to give the Gators an early 4-0 lead. Gardner hit a leadoff double in the following inning. Clark swung at the first pitch he saw and launched it over the left field fence.
 Back to back doubles by Gonzales and Santos led to another run scored in the bottom of the fourth. The Cougars plated two runs in the top of the seventh but failed to get runners in scoring position the rest of the game.

- Tyler Franks opened the game for the Gators, giving up a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning.
- Gabrial Lopez earned his first win on the mound after going four shut out innings. He gave up two hits and three walks while tossing a pair of strikeouts. The freshman has now gone 13.1 innings without giving up a run.
- Justice Naraghi and Andrew Silva each pitched two innings in relief.
- Nolan Long drew the loss for San Marcos
