SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Concordia Irvine at Cox Stadium Friday afternoon.

  • The Gators now sit 0-5. Concordia improves to 4-1 on the season.
  • The Golden Eagles outshot the Gators 14 to 6.
  • SF State were called for 13 fouls while Concordia was only call
  • Grace Messenger and Taylor Reed both had two shots in the game with one on goal.

How It Happened
 


Cameryn Nunn and the defense held strong in the first half. She had a save on a fast break ball and another save on a shot from a free kick within two minutes of eacn other. Grace Messenger had a nice attempt off a header in the 25th minute.

Concordia got on the board in the 65th minute when a free kick helped them advance up the field and Riley Walkington found Val Cortez with room to score.

In Goal

Cameryn Nunn (0-2) set a new career high with seven saves in the loss. Riley Urquiza made four saves for the Golden Eagles.
