SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Concordia Irvine at Cox Stadium Friday afternoon.
- The Gators now sit 0-5. Concordia improves to 4-1 on the season.
- The Golden Eagles outshot the Gators 14 to 6.
- SF State were called for 13 fouls while Concordia was only call
- Grace Messenger and Taylor Reed both had two shots in the game with one on goal.
Cameryn Nunn and the defense held strong in the first half. She had a save on a fast break ball and another save on a shot from a free kick within two minutes of eacn other. Grace Messenger had a nice attempt off a header in the 25th minute.
Concordia got on the board in the 65th minute when a free kick helped them advance up the field and Riley Walkington found Val Cortez with room to score.
Cameryn Nunn (0-2) set a new career high with seven saves in the loss. Riley Urquiza made four saves for the Golden Eagles.
