How It Happened

The Sunbirds' Nadia Flores shot the ball near the top of the goal in the 18th minute but a spectacular leaping save by Miseroy sent the ball out of bonds. The ensuing corner kick led to a foul on FPU. Dohan settled a bouncing ball and found Capinpin in the box in the 20th minute. She fired the ball in the left corner to put the Gators on top.

Fresno Pacific equalized in the 49th minute with a goal from Diana Garcia. The Gators would go back on top with a goal from Shim shot outside the box in the 67th minute. They would get an insurance goal in the 82nd minute when Avelar scored on a penalty kick.
