How it Happened

Tied 9-9 early, Daniel-Dalton got to the rim for a couple of layups, then quick ball movement led to his assiste on wide-open Bellamy three-pointer from the top of the key and a 16-9 Gators lead. SF State pushed that lead to 20-9 as they kept the Warriors scoreless for nearly seven minutes as Stan State missed 12 straight shots. Parsa Hadjighasemi's three-pointer with under four minutes to go built the Gators lead to 30-18, then both teams went quietly into halftime with SF State ahead 32-21. The Gators quickly added to their lead in the second half. Devon Jackson followed his own shot, then Cooks intercepted a pass and took it for the easy layup and a 15-point Gators lead that forced a Warriors timeout with 17:36 to go. The Gators stretched that to 30 by the final horn.
