- The Gators go to 3-8-0 this season, 0-4-0 in CCAA play while the Warriors improve to 4-5-2, 1-3 this season.
- SF State had six corners in the first 45 minutes, and eight overall in the contest.
- The Gators held a 15-9 shot advantage, which is a season high, and their eight shots on goal are also a season best.
- Grace Messenger led all players with three shots.
- Cameryn Nunn made one save, and now ranks eighth in the CCAA in total saves with 38.
A handball in the box gave the Warriors a penalty kick opportunity in the sixth minute, and Aliah Avila capitalized on it with her third goal of the season. Kaya Mitchem fired in a chance in the ninth minute, which Tyler Norman made a great save on to keep SF State off the scoreboard.Â
Grace Messenger and Lauren François each had opportunities in the 37th and 39th minutes, respectively, however both were stopped by nice saves by the Warrior goalie. The Gators out-shot the opposition, 7-5 in the first half.
The Warriors came out strong in the second as Kaley Miller found the back of the net in the 47th minute after the ball bounced around in the box following a set piece. Stanislaus State made it 3-0 two minutes later as Katie Smith fired one in from roughly 20 yards out, which sailed just over Nunn into the far top-left corner of the goal.
The Gators battled to get on the board, with six consecutive shots between the 57th and 72nd minutes, five of which required saves. But the Warrior defense remained stout to hold off SF State for the victory.
Nunn (3-6-0) had one save on nine shots faced. Tylin Norman (1-1-0) made a career-high eight saves.
