How It Happened

Gators took advantage of errors from Humboldt to take an early lead and never looked back. SF State had a balanced attack with five kills from Issak and four from Tamiya Wilson.

Humboldt started out in front for set two but a 7-2 run put the Gators up 10-7 to give them some breathing room. Errors kept the Lumberjacks from making a comeback as Anastacia Garza made back-to-back blocks before the Lumberjacks called a timeout down 21-12.

The Gators led by double digits for a good chunk of the third set and held the offense to -.065. At match point up 24-12, errors allowed Humboldt to stay in it but Issak finally ended the match with a kill to give the Gators the sweep.
