SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State volleyball team made its season debut in the AVCA top 25 on October 14, checking in at 22nd. The Gators have been receiving votes throughout the season but finally broke through as they ride a seven-game win streak. SF State has only been ranked by the AVCA one other time, back in 1987.
The Gators hold a record of 13-3 on the season with losses coming to 2nd-ranked MSU Denver, 6th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona and Receiving Votes Central Washington. Cal State LA is the only other CCAA school in the top 25 at 20th. Cal State San Bernardino dropped out and are receiving votes.
A big week comes up for the Gators as they host RV Cal State San Bernardino on October 17 at 5:00 p.m. The Gators travel to Yotes and play at their place on Saturday, October 17 at 5:00 p.m.
