How It Happened

Sandoval's chance in the 23rd minute sailed just left of the post, SF State's first shot of the night. Both defenses limited the other side in the first half, resulting in four total shots in the first 45 minutes of play.

Frost made a great save in the 58th minute, which game off the foot of Yuto Hatayama, and followed up with another in the 87th where he closed in on the shot right in front of the box to keep the hosts off the scoreboard.

SF State pressured the other way, but Stoyanov's shot was blocked by a defender.
