WSOC | Gators Keep Clean Sheet Against Jacks

ARCATA, Calif. – The San Francisco State women's soccer team battled host Cal Poly Humboldt to a 0-0 draw on Friday afternoon at College Creek Field.

  • Following the tie against the Jacks, the Gator's record now stands at 3-10-1 and is 0-6-1 in conference play. Humboldt's record falls to 6-6-2 and is now 3-3-1 in CCAA action.
  • Gators' keeper Kylie Tone notched her second career clean sheet on Friday – the first since she held Cal State East Bay scoreless on Oct. 12, 2023.
  • It is the 10th career game Page has allowed one or fewer goals. It is also the 10th time in her career she has recorded at least five saves.
  • SF State finished the day with 10 shots, which is tied for second most of the season – two were on goal.
  • The 0-0 draw marks the 11th shutout against the Jacks in the last 16 years.

How It Happened



The Gators came out on the attack early. In the middle of the seventh minute, SF State put pressure on the home team thanks to shots by Renee Davis, Brynn Reyes, and Kaya Mitchem.

Reye's blasted a shot to the bottom center of the goal at the 7:35 mark that was saved by Jacks' keeper Carson Thomson-Terrel.

The two sides went into the locker room with the score tied 0-0. SF State outshot the Jacks 5-4 in the first half with Tone tallying two saves.

Out of the break, Humboldt went on the attack. The Jacks outshot the Gators 10-5 in the second period but could not get one past Tone.

Humboldt's Emma McChristie led all players with four shots on the afternoon – two in the final 20 seconds.

Tone made her sixth appearance in goal for the Gators and fourth start. It is the third straight contest she's gone the distance. With the draw, her record improves to 0-4-1. With the five saves she now has 22 on the year and 89 in her career. She lowers her goals against average to 1.42. For Humboldt, Thmson-Terrel's record improves to 4-5-2.
