VB | DeBoer and Arbaugh Repeat as CCAA Weekly Honorees

SAN FRANCISCO - For a second straight week, San Francisco State volleyball's Kimberly DeBoer and Asia Arbaugh earn CCAA Weekly Honors. DeBoer was named the CCAA Setter of the Week for the Third time this season while Arbaugh earned her second CCAA Defensive Player of the Week.

DeBoer averaged 13.4 assists per set and helped lead the Gators to a pair of road victories to improve to 11-3 on the season and 5-1 in the CCAA. The senior from Murrieta registered 43 kills in a three-set sweep of Stanislaus State, matching the most by any CCAA student-athlete in a three-set match this season. DeBoer added 51 more assists in a four-set win at Chico State on Saturday. Those 51 assists in a four-set match were eclipsed only by her 57 assists against Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 26. The two-time CCAA Setter of the Year added 16 digs, three aces, two kill,s and a block for the weekend. 

DeBoer now leads the CCAA and ranks ninth in NCAA Div. II with 11.44 assists per set. Her efforts have also helped San Francisco State move to 14th in Div. II with a .270 hitting percentage.

Arbaugh averaged 5.43 digs and had four service aces to help SF State win two road matches and improve to 11-3 on the season (5-1 CCAA). Arbaugh opened the week with a 17-dig effort in a sweep over Stanislaus State. She also added three assists and an ace. Arbaugh posted 21 digs and three aces the next day in a win at Chico State State. 

The sophomore libero now paces the conference with 30 aces. She is also fifth with 3.66 digs per set.

The Gators, who received the most votes outside of the top 25 in the latest AVCA polls, will be on the road again this week. They travel to Sonoma State (Oct. 10) and Cal Poly Humboldt (Oct. 12). Both games can be viewed at CCAA on FloSports.
