How It Happened

With 3:16 left in regulation, Dominican's Jorge Ochoa hit a three to put the Penguins up nine, 67-58. It was the largest lead of the evening for the Penguins.

Undeterred, the Gators went on a 13-2 run to take the lead with just 14 seconds left in the second half. Flowers and Burrell provided the thunder hitting three threes down the stretch. Burrell gave the Gators the lead with 17 seconds left when he hit a free throw to complete a rare four-point play.

The Penguins sent the game into overtime when Darius Best hit a layup with three seconds left to tie the game at 71.

In overtime, both sides struggled offensively. The Gators were just 1-for-5 from the field, Dominican was 0-for-7. SF State got it done at the line, however, going 5-for-8 from the charity stripe down the stretch.

With 2:49 to play in overtime, Caleb Oden's layup off the feed from Flowers gave the Gators the lead for good. Flowers put the game on ice hitting a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left in the contest.
