How It Happened

In the first quarter, the Oaks jumped out to an early lead. But with just over minutes to play in the period a jumper by Daniels put the Gators out front for good. SF State held a lead for over 37 minutes.

The Gators put the game away in the second quarter thanks to a cold spurt from the Oaks. Menlo scored just eight points in the second, shooting 3-for-14 from the field. Late in the second, an 18-4 run capped off by a jumper from Bridges-Bey gave the Gators their largest leadoff the night, up 16 with just over a minute left in the half.

Out of the break, the Oaks shot 50.0 percent from the field but could not chip away at the Gators' lead. SF State found its touch from beyond the arc in the second half going 4-for-6 from 3-point range.

Late in the fourth, Menlo cut the deficit to seven, 64-47 on a 3-point field goal from Laila Saenz. But the Gators quickly put the game away thanks to a layup from Asiasi.
