CARSON, Calif. — The San Francisco State women's basketball team ended their road trip with a 81-54 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills.
- SF State fall to 5-17 overall and 4-13 in CCAA action. The Toros improve to 12-11 and 9-8 in conference.
- After being scoreless in the previous contest, Alexsandra Alvarado rebounded with a game-high 22 points.
- The Toros shot 53.7 percent from the field compared to the Gators' 26.9.
- Dominguez Hills got 33 points from the bench while the Gators only got six.
The Gators stayed pretty even through the first quarter. Tied 15-15, Malia Goldsmith's three-point jumper gave the Toros the lead with under a minute to go in the quarter. That basket sparked a 10-0 run that put the Toros up 25-15 halfway through the second. SF State slowly cut down the deficit and
Sage Bridges-Bey hit a jumper as time expired to cut their lead to 32-28. The Toros took over in the third quarter, outscoring the Gators 21-10 with half of the Gators points coming at the line. Dominguez Hills' offense did not let up in the fourth as the Toros shot for 73.3 percent from the field.
