SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's basketball team dropped their home game to Cal Poly Pomona 83-53.
- SF State fall to 5-19 overall and 4-15 in CCAA action. The Broncos improve to 17-7 and 13-6 in CCAA play.
- Sage Bridges-Bey led the Gators for a second straight game with 16 points. Alexsandra Alvarado scored in double-digits with 10.
- Foul calls did not go the Gators way with SF State drawing 23 personal fouls. Both Kierra Johnson and Samaria Velazquez fouled out.
- The Broncos nearly doubled the Gators on the boards, grabbing 55 compared to the Gators' 28.
- Kalaya Buggs led the Broncos with 26 points.
After a scoreless three and a half minutes, the Broncos struck first with a lay-up. The Broncos wouldn't score again until after the media break. The Gators would finally score with a three from
Sage Bridges-Bey and Perséas Gioukaris hit a shot beyond the arch in the final seconds of the quarter to cut the Broncos' lead to 13-6. The Gators got some help with fouls in the second quarter and went 8-for-10 at the line, trailing 35-23 after the second quarter.
Fouls hurt the Gators in the third as the Broncos went 11-for-13 at the line. Trailing 62-40 with one quarter to go, the Gators only cut into the lead by a couple points before ultimately falling to the Broncos.
