The Gators offense found more of a groove in the second quarter, with Alvarado scoring nine of the Gators' 15 points. Trailing 38-21 heading into the third quarter, a jumper from
Kierra Johnson and a pair of free throws from Alvarado got the Gators back within 13, but that would prove to be as close to regaining the lead the Gators would get.
