How It Happened

Murillo arrived at first safely to open the game when the pitcher dropped a routine pop-up. Murillo stole second when Daniel Santos struck out and Johnson hit the ball up the middle to drive Murillo home. The Gators had a chance to break the game open in the bottom of the sixth with bases loaded and one out, but Coyotes' pitcher Benny Olguin got them out of a jam. Murillo hit his fourth homer of the year in the seventh to extend the Gators' lead to 2-0.
Garza came out to pitch in the eighth, but gave up a lead-off double and a walk before being retired with one out. Andrew Silva came on the mound and induced a groundout that scored one for out number two. A single to right center allowed San Bernardino to tie the game.

Tied in the bottom of the ninth with no outs, Nathanial Silva picked a great time for his first hit of the season. Cole Thompson came in to pinch run, ran to second on a failed pick off and third on a wild pitch. Murillo drove the ball up the middle and Thompson scored with ease.
