How It Happened

The Yotes struck first with an RBI single up the middle in the first inning. Justin Johnson drove Daniel Santos home in the bottom of the inning. French swung at the first pitch he saw and launched it over the fence to give the Gators a 3-1 lead.
San Bernardino retook the lead in the eight, when the bases were loaded and a bloop single allowed everyone to advance a base. A two-out single scored two more runs for the Coyotes. The Gators loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the inning and hit into a double play but still plated a run to tie the game. The Gators loaded the bases again in the ninth, needing only one to win. Anthony Alvarez came in to pinch hit and similarly to the day before, singled up the middle for the walk-off win.
