How It Happened

Murillo got the Gators on the board first with a lead-off home run in the bottom of the first. A one-out double, followed by a triple got the Warrior's first runner on the board in the third and an error advanced the runner at third home. The Gators equalized in the fourth when Johnson reached second on a lead-off double and advanced on back-to-back fly outs. An RBI single to right field allowed the Warriors to regain the lead in the fifth. Westmont added insurance runs with a two-run homer over left field in the seventh.

Daniel Santos and Johnson hit back-to-back singles and advanced a base off a wild pitch. Anthony Alvarez sent the ball to left field to get the Gators back within two. Down 5-4, Johnny Alvarez pinch hit and arrived at first on a single down the left field line. Murillo singled up the middle to get runs on the corners. Santos had a chance to tie or win the game but he popped the ball out to the middle outfield.
