Game One
San Marcos put up crooked numbers early, scoring four runs on four hits in the second. An RBI single up the middle by
Daniel Santos brought in the Gators first run in the third. The Gators loaded the bases in the fourth with one out. Laferriere drew a RBI walk and
Justin Johnson hit a sac fly to cut the lead to 4-3. With two outs and no one on in the bottom of the inning, the Gators looked to get out of it unharmed. A double and a pair of walks loaded the bases, a hit by pitch scored one run and a single plus a scoring error allowed the bases to be cleared for the Cougars to go up 8-3. A two-run homer added insurance for the Cougars in the eighth.
Down to their final three outs, the Gators tried to mount a comeback. With runners in scoring position,
Matt Sugden hit a sac fly and
Anthony Alvarez and
Andrew Silva both hit RBI singles to cut the lead to 10-6. But the Gators were unable to get anymore going to overcome the deficit.

Game Two
With runners on the corners and one out, Laferriere beat the double play throw to allow a run home in the second. But a big five-run bottom of the second for the Cougars proved to be all the runs they would need. They added another two runs off a two-run homer in the fourth to go up 7-1. The Gators loaded the bases in the six with no outs but only managed an RBI walk from
Johnny Alvarez and a sac fly from Kyle Olympia. Down 8-3 in the final inning, Laferriere grounded out to score another run but
