SAN FRANCISCO - After San Francisco State volleyball went 4-0 last week, a pair of Gators earned CCAA weekly honors.
Kimberly DeBoer was named the CCAA Setter of the Week while
Izzy Issak was named the CCAA Defensive Player of the Week.
The two-time CCAA Setter of the Year averaged 11.75 assists and 1.75 digs per set as her team won all 12 sets they play. DeBoer had at least 33 assists in each match, including a weekend-best 38 against Colorado-Pueblo. She also added two aces and four digs.Â
Issak averaged 4.08 digs and 0.33 blocks per set to go along with her 4.92 kills/set. She registered a double-double within three sets as SF State earned the sweep in all four matches. The Los Gatos, Calif., native closed out the tournament with a 16-kills, 17-dig performance as the Gators defeated Lubbock Christian from the Lone Star Conference in three sets.
SF State will open conference play this week at Cal State San Marcos (Friday) and Cal Poly Pomona (Saturday).
