LOS ANGELES – The San Francisco State women's basketball team snapped its win streak with a 79-49 loss to Cal State LA Thursday evening.

The Golden Eagles pounced on an 27-10 lead through one frame of action thanks to hot shooting. Los Angeles shot 10-for-14 from the field and 6-for-9 from deep. Alvarado scored a basket and a pair of shots from the line in the last 30 seconds of the quarter to get the Gators double-digits on the scoreboard. The Gators kept up with the Golden Eagles in the second quarter but could not make up ground on the deficit. Sage Bridges-Bey's lay-up at the end of the second made it a 15-point deficit to trail 39-24.

The Gators struggled to slow the Golden Eagles down in the third frame as they shot 47.1 percent from the field. The 24-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter proved too much for the Gators to overcome.
The Gators play Cal State Dominguez Hills on January 18 at 1 pm. Live stats will be available at sfstategators.com, and fans can tune in to the action on Flo College.
