CARSON, Calif. – The San Francisco State women's basketball team could not keep up with one of the top teams in the nation and fell 93-47 to #3 Cal State Dominguez Hills
- The Gators fall to 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the CCAA. The Toros remain perfect on the season with an 18-0 record and 10-0 conference record.
- Seilala Lautaimi and Sage Bridges-Bey each had 10 points to lead the Gators in scoring.
- The Toros dominated the paint, scoring 62 of their 97 points there. The held a 52-19 advantage on rebounds that including 20 offensive boards. The Gators only had one offensive board.
- Nala Williams led all players with 24 points.
The Toros took command early and never looked back, outscoring the Gators 24-7 in the first quarter. The only basket in the quarter came from Nyana Asiasi when she nailed a three to cut the lead to 15-5 with 6:45 remaining. The Gators fought in the second to cut the deficit. Alvarado's lay-up made it a 26-21 game with 4:32 remaining but the Toros outscored the Gators 16-2 to take command back. Down 42-23 to start the third, the Gators had another shooting drought and did not land their first field goal until there was 2:05 left in the quarter. Down by 35 in the fourth, the deficit was too much to overcome.
