SAN FRANCISCO - Aidan Goodrich from San Francisco State has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. 

The junior outside hitter averaged 4.71 digs per set and 0.43 blocks per game to help San Francisco State go 2-0 and clinch a spot in the CCAA Volleyball Tournament, presented by Under Armour. Goodrich also chipped in offensively with 16 kills and two assists.

In a four-set match against Cal State Monterey Bay, Goodrich had a double-double with 20 digs and 10 kills. She added a block. The Fresno native followed up by posting 14 digs in a three-set sweep of UC Merced, along with two blocks, including a solo.  

Goodrich has three matches with 20 or more digs, and all have occurred since Oct. 23. She still ranks fifth in the CCAA in kills per set (3.47). Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard.

The Gators have clinched a spot in the tournament, but seeds are still to be determined. They will close out the season on the road at Cal Poly Humboldt (Thursday) and at Chico State (Saturday). Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
