Bradley had back-to-back baskets to cut the Toros' lead to 19-18 with 2:48 to go. The Toros went on a 7-0 run with the Gators missing opportunities at the line. Bradley closed the quarter out with a basket and one to make it a 26-21 game. The Gators played the Toros close throughout the majority of the second quarter but the Toros pulled away on a 10-2 run in the final three minutes, going 5-for-5 from the line in that stretch.

Down 47-35 to start the third, the Gators saw Athena Brombacher and Bradley pick up their fourth fouls within the first four minutes of the third, limiting them the rest of the quarter. The Gators started to come back as Darté's three with 1:18 to go made it a 52-47 game. The Toros scored on the next three possessions and made both shots on a foul in the final second to take a 13 point lead going into the final frame.
