SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State women's basketball team showed flashes of ability to compete against one of the best teams in the nation but fell 76-61 to #14 Cal Poly Pomona.

- SF State falls to 2-9 on the season and 0-5 in the CCAA. Cal Poly Pomona improves to 10-1 and remains undefeated in the CCAA at 5-0
- Leilani Blecha matched her season high with 21 points. Blecha, who went 7-for-14 all from deep, tied a single game record with seven three pointers.
- Deonna Mayfield and Samantha Myer each reached double figures with 14 and 12 points respectively.
- The Gators finished with 26 turnovers.
- SF State had one of their best three-point performances and shot 40.0 percent from the line.
- Cal Poly Pomona's Sydney Nelson led the Broncos with 31 points.
The Broncos opened up the game with a 9-0 lead before Blecha could score deep from a dish from Geriah Bradley. The Bronco offense stayed dominate and shot 68.7 percent from the field to take a 25-9 lead after one frame. The Gators were able to keep up with the Broncos in the second quarter and shot 54.5 percent from the field and were 4-for-6 from three. Myer had nine points off three 3-pointers in the quarter. SF State was not able to slow the Broncos enough and still trailed 48-27.
The Gators cooled off a little in the second half while the Broncos offense continued to work. Blecha had a hot streak in the fourth quarter and scored 12 points, all on threes.
