SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The San Francisco State women's basketball team played their final road game of the season and fell to Cal State San Bernardino 78-53.

- The Gators drop to 9-16, 7-13 in CCAA play. The loss eliminates them from making the CCAA tournament. The Yotes improve to 14-11, 13-7 in league action.
- Alexsandra Alvarado led all players with 23 points and was the only Gator to score in double figures. She averages 16.1 ppg, third most in the CCAA.
- SF State turned the ball over 21 times and the Yotes capitalized on it with 28 points off turnovers.
- The Gators shot 25.0 percent from the field while the Yotes shot 49.2.
- SF State scored a big chunk of their points at the line and went 21-for-28. Alvarado went 9-for-11 and Seilala Lautaimi went a perfect 6-for-6.
The Yotes opened up the game with an 11-2 run with the Gators only points coming from a pair of made free throws from Imani Felix. Coming out of a timeout, Alvarado scored the first basket of the game but the Gators were unable to slow down a sharp shooting Yotes team that finished the quarter with a 58.8 shooting percentage. Down 22-9 heading into the second quarter, the Gators did most of their damage at the free throw line to stay within reach of the Yotes lead and went 10-for-11. The Gators still trailed by 13 after the second quarter down 38-25. A 16-0 run put San Bernardino well in front of the Gators in the third quarter. Alvarado finally got the Gators a bucket with 4:26 remaining in the third. They closed out the quarter with a 63-35 lead and were able to sit on the lead for the win.Â
