SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State women's basketball team fell 84-61 to #5 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday evening.

- The Gators drop to 9-17, 7-14 in CCAA play.  The Toros improve to 28-1 and 20-1 in the CCAA.
- Alexsandra Alvarado had her eighth game scoring 20+ points, leading the team with 20 points and six steals.
- The Toros dominated the boards 44 to 18, recording 20 offensive boards.
- Dominguez Hills shot 46.0 percent from the field while SF State shot 37.0
- A third of the Gators' points came from the line as they went 20-for-28.
Poor shooting got the Gators off on the wrong foot as they only scored two baskets in the first quarter. A three-point basket from Malia Goldsmith in the final seconds of the first gave the Toros a 22-7 lead. While the Gators offense picked up in the second frame, the Toros kept their foot on the pedal and outscored the Gators 29-18. The Toros would extend their lead to as much as 39 points in the third quarter. While the Gators had several opportunities at the charity stripe in the final frame, the deficit was too much to overcome.
SF State plays its final home game of the season Saturday, March 1 at 1:00 pm. Prior to the start of the game, the team will honor seniors Kali Myers, Imani Felix, Ana Daniels, Sage Bridges-Bey and Seilala Lautaimi. Fans can watch on FloCollege and live stats are available on sfstategators.com.
