SAN FRANCISCO — Nathan Shinn matched his career high with 11 strikeouts in a 9-2 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills in game one. San Francisco State baseball played the Toros close in game two but fell 4-3.
- SF State sits at 10-9 on the season and 6-5 in the CCAA. The Toros are at 12-8 and 8-3 in the CCAA.
- Daniel Santos was responsible for all three RBIs in game two.
- Daniel Murillo, AJ Schrader and Justin Johnson each had home runs in game one. Murillo leads the conference with 8 and now has 15 career homers. Schrader and Johnson each have 17 career home runs.
- The Gators turned three double plays on the day.

Stephen Espinoza got a two-out rally going with a single in the second inning. He stole second and scored off an RBI hit by
AJ Schrader. Schrader stole second and came home off a single up the middle by
Kyle Olimpia. The Gators put up crooked numbers in the third inning as
Justin Johnson hit a two-run home run to extend the lead to 4-0. A pair of runners were in scoring position as
Jackson Wood scrambled home off a wild pitch. Schrader homer on the next at-bat to extend the lead to 7-0.
Camden Andrews hit a two-out RBI single in the fifth and Murillo launched a solo run in the ninth. The Toros ended shutout with a sac fly in the eighth inning but were only able to get one more run off an error in the ninth.
- Nathan Shinn (3-1) picked up where he left off from a week ago and went 7.1 innings, giving up the lone run in the eighth inning. He gave up two walks and three hits while lowering his season ERA to 3.77.
- Nick Bacura went 1.1 innings in relief, struck out three and only gave up an unearned run.
- Daniel Smith got the final out for the Gators.
- Trysten Eddy took the lose for the Toros.

Three straight hits by the Gators brought a run in during the bottom of the first to start the game. Gators ran into some trouble in the third inning as they allowed runner on the corners with one out. Noah Karliner singled to tie the game but the Gators retired the next two batters. A two-out error allowed the Toros to take the lead in the fourth. Santos equalized the game with a home run in the bottom of the inning. The tie did not last long as the Toros hit an RBI single in the fifth to make it a 3-2 game. Jared Pfitzner hit a solo shot in the sixth to give the Toros an insurance run. Allred hit a lead-off single in the sixth, advanced on a wild pitch and Santos brought him home with a single to center. The Gators had a pair of runners in scoring position with two outs but a fly-out ended the inning. The Gators had a chance to tie in the bottom of the seventh but were retired in order.
- Alek Trukki got the start but only went 2.1 innings in the no decision.
- Andrew Silva (0-2) went 3.2 innings and took the loss, giving up three runs with only two earned. He threw three strikeouts.
- Tyler Olsen faced the minimum in the seventh.
- Justice Abercrombie (4-1) picked up the win, striking out eight through 5.1 innings
- Julian Castro picked up his second save of the weekend and fourth of the season.
