VB | Issak Joins Coaching Staff Prior to 2025 Season

| By:
SAN FRANCISCO - Recent graduate Izzy Issak joins the San Francisco State volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 2025 season.

"Izzy is the perfect person to fill this role," lauded Head Coach Matt Hoffman. "She was the first person I thought of when the job was open. She knows the team, knows our systems, our drills, how we do things.  I've known her for a long time and the transition has been seamless. She helped take this program to new places as a player and now she'll get to help it become better as a coach."

Issak was an integral part of the Gators' run to the National Championship match in 2024. She set a program record for most kills in a single season with 495 and closed out her career with 1058 kills, seventh most in program history. Issak earned several accolades during the season including AVCA All-American Honorable Mention, AVCA West Region Honorable Mention, D2CCA All-West Region Second-Team and All-CCAA First Team. Issak earned spots on the CCAA, West Region and National Championship Tournament Teams.

The Gators kick off the season on September 4 when they compete at the Western Washington Invitational.
