SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State women's soccer team closed out the six-game homestand with a 4-0 lose to Concordia Irvine.

Concordia scored within the first minute with a goal by Ashley Grubert. The Gators settled down after that bu Sarah Venegas capitalized on a penalty kick opportunity and extended the lead 2-0 at the 38th minute mark. Venegas found the back of the net again six minutes into the second half to put the comeback out of reach for the Gators.
Lillian Cook (0-2-0) made her second start in goal, collecting three saves. Riley Urquiza started and played for 65 minutes, making four saves.
SF State will play one more non conference game and play their first road contest of the season. They travel north to take on Cal Poly Humboldt on September 27 at 11:30 am. Live stats will be available at sfstategators.com and fans can stream the match live on FloCollege.
