SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State men's basketball team could not match the three-point shooting output of Cal State Monterey Bay and fell 91-57.
- SF State falls to 2-15 and 1-10 in conference. Cal State Monterey Bay improves to 11-6 and 6-5 in the CCAA
- Markees Williams led the Gators with 15 points.
- The Gators struggled to shoot from deep and went 2-for-21. The Otters shot 46.9 from deep.
- SF State had opportunities at the line to make up the difference but only shot 57.7 percent.
- Six different Otters scored in double figures.
Fed Pernell opened the game with a three point basket and a pair of free throws to tie it at six apiece. The Otters sharp shooting came into play as they outscored the Gators 12-2 before the Gators called a timeout. Miles Pollard had the next six points for the Gators to keep them in the game. The Otters' ten three-point baskets in the first half helped them pull away 51-32 at the end of the half. Monterey Bay quickly extended the lead to 20 points in the start of the second half. Opportunities at the line game the Gators chances to stay in the game but they were unable to slow down the Otters' offense.
