POMONA, Calif. - The San Francisco State women's basketball team was competitive in the first two quarters against #13 Cal Poly Pomona but a poor third quarter doomed the Gators in a 76-57 loss.

- SF State falls to 5-15 on the season and 3-11 in the CCAA. Cal Poly Pomona improves to 18-2 and 13-1 in the CCAA.
- Gianna Darté had a team-high 16Â points. Deonna Mayfield added in 15 points.
- The Gators had a season-high six blocks with two coming from Darté.
- SF State shot 30.6 percent while Pomona shot 43.5 percent.

Four different Gators scored to open the game with a 10-5 lead. Back-to-back three's from Mayfield and Darté gave the Gators the largest lead of the quarter at 16-10 with 2:45 to go. The Gators held the six point lead with 19 seconds to go but Pomona made three shots at the line to cut the Gator lead to three. Consecutive baskets in the first minute and a half in the second quarter put the Broncos up. Darté had a pair of threes in a 8-2 run to put the Gators back up 26-22. The Broncos would score the next seven points unanswered but the Gators responded and took a 35-31 lead into halftime. The Broncos opened the third quarter on a 12-0 run en route to ouscoring the Gators 25-8 in the third quarter. The Gators only trailed by 13 at the start of the fourth quarter but could not cut the deficit to single digits.
