The Gators looked to get their three-point shooting going early but went 0-for-8 from deep in the first quarter. Athena Brombacher tied the game at 13-13 with under a minute to go, but the Golden Eagles scored and forced a turn-over on the next possession to go up 18-13. The Golden Eagles extended their lead to 13 points with six minutes left in the second quarter. The Gators went on a 8-2 run with Leilani Blecha and Simon Murray each scoring threes to cut the deficit. Myhr cut it even further with a three to make it a 35-29 game. But back-to-back baskets from the Golden Eagles gave them a double-digit lead as they led 42-31 at halftime. A lay-up from Gaines followed by a scoop and score basket from Myhr made it an eight-point game. A 7-0 run near the end of the quarter gave LA their largest lead yet at 16 points. The Golden Eagles shot 66.7 from the field in the fourth to close out the game and secure the win.
