How It Happened - G2

Three straight singles up the middle led to a Gator run in the second inning. Rocha hit a lead-off first pitch single, stole second and third and came home when the throw down to third trickled into the outfield. Runners were in scoring position in the fifth. Cardwell laid down a successful sacrifice squeeze to bring one runner in and Jordan hit an RBI single to extend the lead to 4-0. Stanislaus loaded the bases in the sixth but the Gators limited them to a fielder's choice RBI to lead 4-1. The Gators recorded two outs in the top of the seventh but the next four batters reached base, leading to a Stanislaus run.
