Prior to SF State:  The defensive specialist joins the Gators from Pukalani, Maui, Hawaii…she lettered all four years at the Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus…in four seasons she helped guide the Warriors to an overall record of 87-21, during that stretch the Warriors only lost one league game, going 47-1 with four-straight Maui Interscholastic League Championships…received all-conference honors all four seasons including first team all-league honors in 2012-13…in 2011 she was named to the second team and was named to the honorable mention team in 2010…parents Kekoa and Jennifer Awai…has three siblings, sisters Brittany and Kelsey and a brother Kamaha’o…her sister Brittany played volleyball at Butler…enjoys going to the beach, hiking and traveling.
