This year’s SF State Female Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Morgan Davison of the women’s soccer team. Davison was a three-year letterwinner for the Gators. The Arlington, Va., native was named to the All-CCAA First Team, which was the second consecutive year that she earned All-Conference honors. She played a major role in leading the Gators to their first appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championships since 2002. SF State also was Co-CCAA North Division Champions. Davison played in all 22 matches while earning All-West Region First Team honors and also was named the Brine/CCAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. 

Davison scored two goals this past season from the defender position, including a game-winner vs. Humboldt State on Oct. 24. She anchored a Gator defense which allowed just 0.66 goals per game and posted 13 shutouts.
