“We played well against a pretty good team this afternoon,” said SF State Head Coach

The Gators had the first chance to score, 26 minutes into the game when Kelly Sandberg recorded one of her three saves in goal as she stopped

rd minute. Three minutes later, Arielle Keplin had a chance to score for Humboldt State but her attempt was stopped by the Gators'

In the first overtime period, both teams did not put a shot on goal but in the second extra period, the Gators'
Zoila Marquez (Salinas, California, North Salinas) shot was stopped by Sandberg at the 104:29 mark. That is when Nord scored the game's golden goal for the Lumberjacks as she connected on a ball from Kim Carroll and hit a long lob from the far sideline into the far post which then bounced in for the game-winner.
