SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators will face Sonoma State this week in a home and away series. The two teams will face each other this Wednesday, Dec. 5 in Rohnert Park, Calif., at The Wolves' Den on Sonoma State's campus for a 7:30pm PST scheduled conference game. The series will then move to SF State's The Swamp this Saturday, Dec. 8 for a 4pm scheduled tip-off.
SF State is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the CCAA after splitting its two home conference games with Cal State East Bay (80-76 loss) and Cal St. Monterey Bay (60-55 win). The Gators have four players averaging double figures in scoring led by
Robbie Herndon (14.7 ppg) and followed by
Decensae White (13.2 ppg),
Calvin Otiono (11.0 ppg) and
James Albright (10.8 ppg). White leads the team with his 5.8 rebounding average and 55.6% shooting from three's and is tied with
Calvin Otiono with 17 assists. Otiono has recorded a team high 14 steals. Albright leads SF State with his 53% shooting from the field while William Overton, Jr. is shooting a team high 88.5% from the charity stripe .
After this week's games against Sonoma State, the Gators will be off until the New Year when they face Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State. SF State will travel to Turlock, Calif., on Jan. 4 for a 7:30pm scheduled game with Cal State Stanislaus. Then on Jan. 5, SF State will travel to Chico, Calif., for a 7:30pm scheduled tip-off with Chico State.
