SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' volleyball team will begin their four-match road trip this Fri., Oct. 18 with a 7pm starting match in Seaside, Calif., against the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters. The Gators will then travel across the Bay this Sat., Oct. 19 for a 7pm starting match with Cal Sate East Bay in Hayward, Calif.

The Gators are coming off a 0-3 week at #12 Sonoma State (0-3), at home against Humboldt State (1-3) and also at home against Cal Poly Pomona (2-3). In their loss to the Broncos tried to rally back from a 2-1 deficit, but their efforts fell short in the fifth set (21-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 12-15). In that match, Melissa Horton and Jaclyn Clark each recorded double-doubles. Horton had 18 kills and 15 digs while Clark had 15 digs and 11 kills. Jessica Nicerio added 4 service aces and 24 digs.

After this weekend, the Gators will continue their road trip next week in Southern California. SF State will face nationally ranked Cal State San Bernadino and UC San Diego as the Gators will begin the second half of the conference season on the road.
