SAN FRANCISCO – The SF State Gators will begin its 2014-15 California Collegiate Athletic Association season with a pair of home games at SF State's Main Gymnasium at the Don Nasser Family Plaza this weekend. The Gators will host Humboldt State this Friday, December 5 and Cal State San Bernardino this Saturday, December 6. Tip-off for both games is set for 7:30 pm PST.
SF State is coming into this weekend's games with a 2-2 overall record and splitting its two games at the 55
th Annual Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational in Chico, Calif. The Gators lost 79-56 to Azusa Pacific on Nov. 28 and came back and defeated Dominican (Calif.) the next night 63-58. Senior guard
Bren Haley was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Udun Osakue leads the team with his 10.5 scoring and 4.3 rebounding average while
Bren Haley has a team high 17 assists.
Andre Jones leads the team with his 9 steals and 46% shooting from three's.
Chiefy Ugbaja is shooting a team high 57% from the field and
Derrick Brown has connected on a team best 90% of his attempts from the line.
Humboldt State is 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the CCAA after losing 77-70 at Cal State San Bernardino. The Lumberjacks is averaging 91 points per game while giving up 72 points per game. Allan Guei leads the team with his 13.0 scoring average.
Cal State San Bernardino comes into this weekend with a 2-1 overall record including a 2-0 record in the CCAA. The Coyotes swept the season series from Humboldt State (77-70 in Arcata and 82-71 in San Bernardino). They are averaging 73 points per game while giving up 77.3 points per game. Isaiah Morton leads the team with his 19.3 scoring average.
