SAN FRANCISCO ---    In both team's final dual of the regular season before heading into the 2013-14 NCAA Division II Super Region IV/Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in two weeks, it was the No. 11 Cal Baptist Lancers defeating the visiting SF State Gators 25-12.  The Gators finish the season 8-5 (2-2 RMAC ) while Cal Baptist is 11-4-1 overall and 3-1 in the RMAC.
 
The Lancers took a 12-0 lead after the first three matches as Brandon Gerl defeated the Gators' Andrew Reggi by a 3-2 decision at 197 to start off the dual.  No. 8 Jacob Mitchell won by fall (5:29) at heavyweight over SF State's Hildelv Manzur and No. 1 Bryden Lazaro won by a 10-3 decision over the Gators' Marc Collier. 
 
The Gators cut the lead in half as they won at 133 and 141.  Isaiah Hurtado won by an 8-6 decision at 133 over the Lancers' Taylor Hall and No. 8 Dylan Phillipy won by a 5-3 decision over Dakota Taylor to put the Gators only 6 points behind, 12-6.
 
The Lancers came right back and won the two next matches to take a 19-6 lead with Alex Williams (149) losing by a 14-9 major decision and No. 2 Brady Bersano gave the hosts a 19-6 lead with a 6-0 win over Tavis Ino at 1557.
 
Vicente Aboytes then defeated the Lancers' Micah Cruz by a 3-1 decision in overtime to cut the Lancer lead to 19-9. 
 
Cal Baptist scored its final points of the dual with a win by fall (1:44) by David Irish over SF State's Calvin Nicholls. 
 
Zach Jimenez won for the Gators by a 5-4 decision at 194 over Cal Baptist's Kenneth Trimble to make the final 25-12.
 
The Gators will return to the mat in two weeks, when they participate in the NCAA Division II Super Region IV Championships/Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in Grand Junction, Colo., on February 28-March 1.
