SF State (3-4/1-1 CCAA) played well for most of the contest, shooting 40.0 percent from the floor, going 18-for-45, they even shot well from beyond the arc, connecting on 6-of-16. The difference was the second quarter. Following the end of the first, the Gators held a six point lead, up 15-9.

Laura Lawson was particularly effective, scoring eight of her team-high 15 in the opening period.
In the second quarter that changed. The Warriors switched up to a full court man press that rattled the Gators. SF State was held to just one field goal in the second quarter and was limited to seven points mostly coming on free throws.
