@SFState_WBB Wraps Up Season In Southern California

SAN FRANCISCO – The SF State women's basketball team wraps up its 2014-15 campaign this weekend traveling to Southern California to take on Cal State L.A. on Friday before squaring off against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.  Both games will begin at 5:30 p.m. and both games will feature live stats and live video.
 
The Gators enter this weekend with a 1-23 record and are 1-19 in conference play.  As a team, the Gators average 56.0 points per game, which is 12th in the CCAA.  They are shooting 35.5 percent from the floor which is also 12th in the conference.  Opponents are averaging 73.0 points per game against the Gators and shooting 46.1 percent.
 
The last time out the Gators went 1-1 in their final home games of the season.  On Friday, the Gators fell to Cal State Stanislaus 65-55.  In that game the Gators shot just 33.3 percent going 3-for-20 from 3-point range and 14-for-24 from the free throw line.  Against Chico State the following night the Gators earned their first win of the season.  The Gators jumped out to a huge 19 point lead in the first following a 28-6 run, in the second half the Gators put the game on ice going 10-for-10 from the charity stripe to win 61-53 on senior night.
 
Red hot for the Gators right now is sophomore guard Brittaney Allison.  Over the last four games she is averaging 13.3 points per game, shooting 42 percent from the floor.  She was named the Female Gator of the Week for her performance last weekend, in the game against Chico she did it all for the Gators, she finished with nine points, dishing out a career-high seven assists, with five rebounds.
 
Cal State L.A. enters Friday's game seventh in the CCAA with an overall record of 9-15 and 8-12 in the CCAA.  As a team, the Golden Eagles are averaging 63.1 points per game which is ninth in the CCAA, they are shooting 38.6 percent which ranks sixth.  Their opponents are averaging 65.2 points per game and shooting 31.3 percent against them.  Leading the team is guard Chiara Dimarco who is averaging 11.1 points per game. 
 
Cal State Stanislaus enters this weekend second in the CCAA in the standings.  They are currently 22-6 and 17-3 in the CCAA.  As a team they are averaging 68.4 points per contest which is fourth in the CCAA and they are shooting 37.8 percent from the floor which ranks eight.  Their opponents are averaging 60.0 points per game and shooting 36.3 percent from the field. Four players are averaging double figures for the Toros, guard Breanna Garcia leads the team averaging 14.8 points per game, which ranks fourth in the CCAA.
